During the COVID-19 quarantine, I was inspired by the Andy Warhol Marilyn Series polyptych. The bold coloration of the Warhol Marilyn Series recalls the saturated hues of the now antiquated Technicolor world in which her career skyrocketed.
Using one of my favorite images taken in Taos, NM, I took a stab at creating nine highly variable color schemes. These variations attempt to exploit the possibilities in various color wheel combinations by using saturated hues reminiscent of techniques Warhol used.
