Webster House is a restored nineteenth-century Romanesque-style schoolhouse next door to the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. Webster House is one of the oldest remaining public school buildings in Kansas City
The Webster School officially opened in 1886 and closed in 1932. In 2000, more than 100 years after its initial construction, the task of restoring the building began. The building was transformed into a stunning shopping and dining destination when the restoration was completed in 2002.
