Spring Floral Photography
Yesterday, I posted another image from my new photographic series exploring the details in a single floral bloom. Today’s image is a blue-jacket hyacinth. It’s frequently said that a picture is worth a thousand words. Unfortunately, no pictures or words can effectively capture the wonderful fragrance of a hyacinth. As their scent wafts through the room while I set up the shots, I harken back to my childhood. The sense of smell is one of the most powerful memory triggers. And the hyacinths definitely connected with childhood memories of walking to school during the spring.
My spring floral photography . . .
. . . “project” continues to help me adjust the pace of my daily life. A sense of tranquility and peacefulness is re-energizing and relaxing my mind and body. And reflecting on the floral images nourishes my soul. Reminding me of the warmer days ahead and the coming opportunities to spend time outside with nature.
Stay tuned for additional floral images as I continue my adventure in floral photography in the coming days.
